Hi I am really new to this ipronto business and I am swimming in a sea of total uncertainty. The device seems to be much more complex than I was led to believe. I purchsed the device from sevenoaks as an exdemo unit and they have left all there codes on the unit. Can someone please tell me how to remove there old codes and dowload new codes to the unit. Can someone also plese tell me can I use the USB to connect to my laptop to transfer new codes. Also(sorry to be a pain I told you I was new to this) could anyone please tell me how I access the huge data base of manufactureres codes. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi abspag,

well, forget about USB and the iPronto. The iPronto has a USB connector, that's right, but no chance you can use it because it doesn't function.

Install iPronto Edit on your PC, buy an WIFI access point (you should have ... you MUST have) and then you can backup the configuration of your iPronto to PC and load new configurations to the iPronto device.

Another possibility is to use MMC cards which you can use in a notebook or card reader of your PC. You can create a new config file with the iPronto Editor and write it to MMC card and put that in your iPronto.

If you want to get EPG you MUST install a WIFI access point ......

Best regards,

Kalle

Thanks for your advice and help. I have a home wireless point but I am having difficulty uploading files to the ipronto. Everytime I put in the MMC card the Ipronto says no card inserted Would anyone have any ideas as to solve these problems? Thanks

Hi there,

There is a huge amount of information as well as personal experiences and problems with MMC in this thread...

[Link: remotecentral.com]

The main problem seems to be the size of the card used, but there's more to it than that....

Good luck!

Forget the card, likely chance it will not work. Try uploading / downloading via the wifi connection. Also if you do not have the latest firmware the ipronto will not read any card.

There is a button on the toolbar.... for upload download via wi-fi

Make sure you also have the latest firmware and matching iprontoedit...

Good luck

On your remote, press the little grey arrow button on the bottom right of your screen. hold it down for a few seconds until the NetX info page appears. Press the "MMC" tab on the right hand side and it will take you tou the MMC card management page. Assuming, as said already, that you have the latest firmware.

Good luck.
