I've been programing my Ipronto, working from programs that I downloaded from Remote Central. I'm working from Gérald Pérignon's (Starwars control) system file and he shows a page to control a telephone, is this possible? Is it voice over IP and will it work with my vontage? Thanks for your help!!!!

I would really like to see a Skype (see www.skype.com for more details) application for the iPronto. iPronto team, is this a possibility in the foreseeable future?

I can't see this EVER happening, so I'd get it out of your heads now. This is way beyond the scope of what the iPronto was envisaged as being used for, and I don't think it is at all likely that Philips will ever develop voice over IP for it.

Just my opinion, and I may be proved wrong. But I very much doubt it!

Taken from the original iPronto information:
"Among others, the iPronto features other built-in components that enhance the entertainment experience, like a built-in microphone and stereo speakers that will allow users to listen to MP3s from the Internet through future software upgrades and for future applications such as voice recognition and telephony."

I know, I know. I've got to the point of forgetting all the bumph that came out initially. I get the distinct impression that the marketing department and the developers never actually spoke to each other! Shocking marketing, and really should be illegal. If it isn't illegal, it's skating around the fringes!
