Anyone else got a broken EPG at the moment?

The drop-down box that has the dates in it is blank for me and has been for several days now. I guess it won't be fixed now until after Christmas. Wonderful!

Same here. Frankly, I think EPG's pretty useless given the randomness of listings and mis-listings (sometimes under drama, I'll find stuff like Andy Griffith Show), but I digress. So, I seldom check out EPG, but when I saw your post, I checked and you're right -- no dates in the drop down day box. However, I did check and my EPG successfully updated this morning and is good through January 2. For kicks, I highlithed a program category (Culture Education) and did get today's listings for 2:31 pm (the time I checked).

I've got the same problem as you, nrmsmith. Philips, what's going on? First you say no to UPnP-inclusion, and now this as well? :-/

I have it since upgrading to 1.8.2. Is anyone having the problem with older firmware?

Same here. 1.8.2 seemed to kill the drop down "day" menu. No big deal, as I only use the "now" option on the EPG.

I'm using the previous firmware - and am expiriencing the same as you guys. So I assume we can rule out the upgrade as being the culprit. :-)

I'm also on the older firmware -- so it's not unique to 1.8.2.

Obviously it was just a coincidence. I didn't notice when it actually happened, just this message brought it to my attention, so I checked. And there it was.... gone! :) Like I say, I never use the EPG to plan ahead. I find it far too clumsy and awkward to do that with.

When you say "Now", you mean "Update Now" ?
So it seems that you don't use the nightly automatic scheduled EPG update ?
If YES, why have-you choosen this mode ?
For this, and because of the actually impossible EPG disabling, do you switch OFF your WAP every night ?
In this case, does your Ipronto hang, because of the impossible nightly download ?

Thanks for your replies !

Note : In my case, with WAP nightly OFF, my Ipronto nightly switches on, and tries to connect 2 or 3 times before writing "impossible download"
Sometimes, I mut reset on morning the Ipronto totally blocked and with LCD sceen ON...
Actually, with the WAP always ON, no other problem than "Partially download" 3 or 4 days a week..

In another post, I asked the Ipronto team to add the possibility of disabling nightly EPG automatic update.. No success at this time :(

Ah no, sorry. That's not what I meant. I meant I only use the "now" button on the EPG, as in "what's on now?", I never browse ahead for programs. I find it far too awkward and clumsy an interface for that, so I just use my Tivo for that.

Hhmmm. Strange... EPG dates back to normal. Could the dec/jan switch have anything to do with it?
