Hi ,

is the iPronto also able to learn the codes from my RF activated sources ( i.e. IR activated Lights / IR activated AC Outlets)
or does the iPronto purley work with IR signals ?

Cheers

IR only - the iPronto does not have an RF transmitter (save for WiFi). No universal remote can learn RF signals.

Some Prontos (not the iPronto) can have special hex codes generated to control some RF devices, if the frequency is the same, but this is not that common.

Actually, it is quite common in Europe. Nearly all European RF devices of this type use the same 433.92MHz frequency as the Pronto NG and Pro models. But, as Daniel says, the iPronto is IR only.

The iPronto can send IR to the IR2RF half of an X-10 Powermid which will repeat it as 433.92MHz RF. Unless the device is one for which the codes are already known, you will have to find a way to learn the codes. See...
