I've just started noticing some odd "flickering" going on my my iPronto screen.....everything is working perferctly, but sometimes the screen will dim a bit for just a second or two, and other times, there are a few odd lines that will appear and flicker for a second. This can happen either on AC or DC. It did not used to happen. Has anyone had screen failure on the iPronto yet, and if so, did you notice any of these types of symptoms? ? I've owned mine since the product was first released and never had this type of problem before. Thanks for any input

On my (almost brand new) iPronto, I occasionally notice a very faint screen flicker. I hope this is normal! It's only faint, and lasts a second or two, but it is there and visible. Maybe you just never noticed before? Are you using it in different ambient lighting conditions?

Hello,
Is-it an automatic LCD lighting control in an Ipronto, following the ambient lighting conditions ?

Thanks

I don't think it used to happen, but I am keeping the iPronto in a different room now. It very well might be adjusting to ambient light changes......I'll pay close attention to exactly when it's happening.
I guess I'm slightly encouraged that no one has replied with any experience with screen failure. Thanks

No, it's not automatic. You have to set it in the settings page. But it may be more noticable in certain lighting conditions...

I'm sure I saw mine do it occasionally when it was new ... got to say it's never been often enough for it to ever be a problem though and it doesn't seem to have done it for months now.
