Hello all,

Just bought an iPronto and love it!!!! Everything is working fine: EPG updates well, can surf the web just fine, programing the slew of remotes is pretty easy (time consuming but easy). . .

. . . EXCEPT! I cannot get the firmware to update to allow me to have iProntoEditor up and download ICF files.

I have searched the forum strings for a solution. I get close to an answer but not exactly a solution for what I'm dealing with. When I try and update the firmware iPronto tells me that it cannot find the boot.pronto.philips etc.com or something like that. Any ideas???

So far I've selected a static IP; tried both server IDs, and several breathing exercises to ease the frustration. I'm still waiting on an answer from Philips tech support. Yeah, I wont hold my breath. O, yes, and I have a Linksys wireless router.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Looks like the problem has resolved itself. Last night I tried updating the firmwear (ver 1.7) again and it worked like a charm. Now able to up and download icf files. All is well.
