Hello, I am a new iPronto owner/user. I've been having problems with my WiFi connection to the iPronto. I have no problems connecting to the iPronto when I disable WEP Encryption on my wireless 802.11g router, but when I activate 128bit WEP, I cannot get the iPronto to communicate with the router.

Has anyone else experienced problems like this? I called Phillips but they were of little help.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For your WEP key, are you using a hex string, or a password? Some wifi's need the hex string rather than the password.

If you are using a password, you can generate the appropriate hex string using the following website:-

[Link: warewolflabs.com]

Simply copy the generated hex string into your iPronto settings, and that should (hopefully) solve the problem....

Thanks, but Yes, I've tried using both a Hex String and a WEP Key. I had the Key generate the string so that may the problem although my WiFi enabled laptop has no problems connecting with that Key.

I'll try the link that you sent and see if that works.

Thanks.

You've updated the firmware, right?
