After working properly for several weeks, ipronto now hangs with the display showning "Philips" and "ipronto with "radiating waves". All buttons are dead. Charging, reset, disconnect battery and pressing all possible combinations of keys make no difference. The device boots then permanently hangs. Has anyone seen this before? and can you suggest a solution.

Is it possible that your firmware update didn't complete properly? What you need to do (if it is down to that) is reset the iPronto whilst keeping the "Channel +" button pressed. This brings you into the MANUAL CONFIGURATION menu. Then press Volume + to go down in the menu untill you've reached RESTORE. Press the Channel + button to select the menu option which will bring you to the RESTORE menu. In the RESTORE menu, point to the "FLAG FOR UPDATE ON" menu option and select it with the "Channel +" button. The FLAG FOR UPDATE ON has now been set to YES. With the Volume + button point to the DONE and select it with Channel + this brings you back to the previous menu. Now select the RESUME option which will launch a firmware update.

Thanks Goshdamit - but the problem is now resolved by an unknown and mystery process. I left the device disconnected overnight then reconnected and after again hanging at the same point for at least 5 minutes - it finally started to work! There must ne a fault with firmware or something.
I have now upgraded to IPR_v1.7.4 and also upgraded iProntoedit to 2.4.3 and hope that these will now help.
