Think of it as a "ProntoNEO Pro", realizing that the NEO's target audience likely wants a simpler rather than more complex product.

But don't worry, it's not like Philips is dropping the Pronto line or isn't planning for IT'S future as well.

Thanks Daniel - maybe people will listen to info coming from you and calm down a bit!

Hmm, I wouldn't be too sure. Check this reply I got from someone within Philips at their Connected Planet forum...

I don't get your point? all he said was that the RC9800i
supports what you asked. He did not say that the iPronto would not nor that the Pronto line was dead.

It wouldn't solve your photo displaying desire, but have you looked into getting an Audiotron? it's a Turtle beach product.....because it offers it's own webserver page, I can access my entire music library of mp3's from my iPronto and play individual songs one by one, or play playlists, or certain genres....It's an awesome companion product to the iPronto......I think it sells for about $300 or $400

It looks like Philips edited their message and took out what it said before. They said something to the effect that there was no ipronto programming team anymore. Maybe someone just miss spoke, but it was in the message when I saw it.

Anthony, before Philips Support edited their message, it said the following: "Unfortunately for you the development of the iPronto is stopped." Which obviously caused some concern for me...

Sparticus, I am using a Philips Streamium SL400i ( http://www.streamium.com ) to play all my mp3's, view videos stored on my server on the plasma display etc. I can of course control the Streamium unit with the iPronto too. However, I would like to be able to access my mp3's, photos and videos through the iPronto directly, in order to listen to/view them anywhere in the house as well. For this, it would be necessary for it to support UPnP.
