I was uploading downloading OK from iProntoedit. No problems at all. Howecver, I got into a disaster situation arising I think when I was not quick enough to "OK" to the download on the ipronto.
I cannot now get past a screen message "The iPronto will connect to the network to download software, Please make sure you are connected to AC power supply and to remainwithin range of the wireless access point. Press one of the buttons below the screen to continue.".
I cannot get rid of this by (1) pressing reset (2) disconnecting battery and leaving for at least 15 minutes (3) pressing one of screen buttons as above (4) pressing on/off (5) every combination of keys I can think of.
Incidentally, pinging the the device does not now detect it, although of course it did previously.
Anyone had the same problem?

Think I've got it.
Hold Scroll wheel and reset to get special menu
Set "Flag for update" = NO.
Then boots OK

...Although you might want to correct the problem that's preventing the firmware update check.

I have the same problem but I can't get to the special menu by pressing the scroll wheel and reset. It still shows this bluescreen.
Does anyone has a solution? Please help me!

Disconnect the battery and PSU for a short time to completely reset everything. Now press and hold the CHANNEL+ key while connecting the PSU. When the iPronto has boot up in the special menu release the CH+ key. Now use the hard keys as described on the LCD screen to select and change the Update Flag to read NO then select Resume. The iPronto will reboot and should start normally.
When the Upgrade iPronto button is pressed in the Setup>About screen it sets this flag to Yes and then does a reboot. As the reboot starts if it finds this flag set to Yes it will attempt to connect to the internet and get any upgrades from the Philips portal. If the network is down or the configuration has become corrupted then this connection fails and the iPronto hangs up waiting for it.
