How can I label the square panel that pops out when one of the eight round buttons on the side bar is pressed? I have trouble remembering what each of the buttons is! thanks!

Maybe in future firmware releases.
For now: a Brother P-Touch helps? ;~) (if you can take a joke)

Hmmm ... just had a couple of guys from Philips here (they've gone now) and we were discussing this too.

(As well as whether it would be possible to disable / remove the tabs on the left of the screen and disable access to the "flip" screens so that people can't inadvertantly screw up carefully honed and tested configs.)

I know this is not the ideal solution but what I did (so my entire family would know how I programmed the remote) was create a HELP button on the home page which links to a custom page that i created that has all of the buttons on it and explains what each one does. I also put a ? on other pages to access the same help page.

Clay, your idea sounds like the best bet right now, since Philips let something so obvious get by them before the unit went into production. When you pay this much for a remote you expect it to be well-designed, not finding such glaring oversights! Thanks!

The side buttons have built-in pop-out labels that appear while you press a button, but an undocumented feature is that you can view these BEFORE selection. Try pressing and holding your finger anywhere on the left hand side touch-strip and then slide your finger up and down. You will find that the button labels pop-out as your finger moves allowing you to see the label. When you find the button label you want release your finger press.
