Hi,

I have an Ipronto and an IR543. I tried to use CodeGen to create the IR codes to use for iPronto to send to the IR543. However, nothing seems to work. Ipronto seems to change the code generated by CodeGen and the IR543 does not acknowledge it is getting the signal I send to it. I have tried using other ICFs from the files area, but none of those IR learned codes seem to work either. What the heck do I do? This is driving me up the wall

Thanks for any help

If you drop me an email to phil at avaddict dot tv to remind me I'll try to pull the codes that I'm using for my IR7243 out of my config ... might not have chance till next week though if that's OK?

Which CodeGen™ codes are you using? Those for the IR543AH will not work with an IR543.

I am using the codegen that says Ipronto to IR543. I did not use IR543AH. Thanks for your help so far

I assume you mean "Pronto" & IR543 - there is no "iPronto" option.

All I can tell you is they work fine with a Pronto TS1000. I'm surprised that the iPronto would change them.

Does the iPronto database offer X-10 codes? If so, they are sure to be IR543 codes.

Yes, I meant pronto to IR543. Just to make sure I am not doing anything wrong. I press "Copy" on codegen. Then I go to Iprontoedit, double-click the button on the Page, select "Add IR Code", then click "Vied/edit IR" and then paste the code I copied. Is this correct?

I then aim the Ipronto at the IR543 and if it got the I/R, it should light up...it hasn't lit up yet...is this all correct or am I making a mistake somewhere?

Thanks,
Kabir

I don't have an iPronto so I cannot verify all the steps but that's the correct procedure for a Pronto.

The LED on the IR543 should flash when it sees a valid code.

You mentioned that the iPronto seemed to be changing the codes. Can you post before/after copies of a code?

Here is the code codegen gives me for the Digit "1"

0000 0068 0018 0000 00AF 0092 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 01CF 0093 00AF 0092 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 01CF 0093

here is what iPronto changes it to
0000 0068 0018 0000 00AF 0092 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 01D3 0093 00AF 0092 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 01D3 0000

It changes the last two blocks, 01D3 and 0000

The iPronto is corrupting the code.

Try this...

0000 0068 0000 000C 00AF 0092 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 01D3 0093

the pronto edited that code that you gave me to this:

0000 0068 0000 000C 00AF 0092 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0034 00FC 0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 01D3 009C

0034 00FC 0096 0096 0096 0096 01D3 009C

Which should be inconsequential. It is shortening the final silence by 125µs. Does it work?

Are you allowing enough time for the IR543 to send the "1" to the powerline before sending a function command? It takes more than 4/10 second for the "1".

No, that didn't work either...I must be doing something wrong. The IR543 doesn't even light up when I send the 1 digit
