Hi Luuk,

Yes the PC is connected to the same router as the iPronto and the internet is working perfectly from the PC and from the iPronto.
For the time beeing there is no firewall installed.
The Network setup on the iPronto is set with Fixed IP as required. The update of the EPG works just fine.
The problem may come from the fact that the"use HTTP Proxy in the Network setup of the iPronto is not set, because I don'know how to set it up and if it should be set or not.
Any knowledge about that or suggestions?

Best regards

Alain.

Alain,

"Use HTTP Proxy" is not needed to be set.

Have you ever tried out to upload an .icf file with the command "UPLOAD FROM iPRONTO" in iProntoEdit?
Is that succesfull?

Kees.

Alain,
I had to manually type the ip address of my ipronto into the "select ipronto" dialog box before it would connect... Mine uses 192.168.0.10

Kees had a good suggestion, try and upload from the ipronto.

I presume that you are using the latest iprontoedit software ?

I only have one problem, mine is back with Philips RMA for repair with no signs of return :-(

Hi Kees,

I did try to upload with no more success that downloading, i.e "Editor times out".
I did type the same IP address in the select iPronto field as required with the sama address as in the iPronto Network configuration.

????????????
Best regards,
Alain.

Probably have done this already but...

Are you using version 2.3.2 of iprontoedit ? You need to download it for the new version of firmware I think you probably have installed.

Guess you have tried a reboot of your PC and ipronto, and removed the old version first etc etc ?

you are using fixed IP, and typing the ipronto IP address into the "target ipronto" box ?

nothing else in your system using the same IP address ? (Laptop, netx, handheld ?)

Not sure what you mean by browser disconnects ? There is limited memory available for the browser and its not hard to get the browser to stop working.

The new firmware is better but still not perfect.

I tended to stay in the "low bandwidth" simple pages like :

As you may know I am still without my ipronto, perhaps one day it will come back from Philips repair service :-)

I just mean that after a period of time, the only way I found to reconnect the iPronto to the internet is to reboot.
