For unknown reasons whenever I'trying to download files from Remote Central through the webportal Links , I have a screen displaying: Sorry! No plugin found. By the way anytime I do connect directly from the iPronto Brownser to www.remotecentral.com the screen "answer" is Forbidden You don't have permission to access/ftp/ipronto/programs/on this server. and Apache/1.3.27 server at www.remotecental.com Port 80.
And last but not least after a bunch of minutes beeing connected to the web via the iPronto it becomes impossible to brownse unless I do make a reset on the i Pronto.
Thank you for your help.

You can't download files directly on the iPronto. You need to use iProntoEdit on your PC. Remember, the iPronto has ONE master remote configuration - think of it as a Word document that you edit.

Thank you for your reply, but I'm a bit confused.
I do understand the idea of downloading using ProntoEdit on my PC.
Is it done through the network? If yes how, please?
Would you be so kind to let me know how do I transfer the downloaded file from the PC to the iPronto, knowing that I'not an expert.
In advance thank you for your help and for your site I do use for years now (from pronto, to the pronto pro and the 9200 before I recently switched to the iPronto.

you need to open the file in iProntoEdit and then click on download to remote (icon of iPronto with a red arrow pointing to it)

Once you initalise a download from iProntoEdit you also need to press 'Yes' on the screen of the iPronto remote control before it accepts the transfer.

Hi, Could you please give me an indication on where should the "button" YES be on the iPronto screen. For the moment what I did was to click on download to remote in Pronto Edit.
In advance thank you.

Alain,
It automatically appears on the (touch)screen of your Remote right after the download-command, as Carbontoe explained.

Thank you, Kees, the problem seems tobe comming from the difficulty for the iPronto to receive data from the PC. However everything seems to be correct: the iPronto gets to the web with no major difficulty. The settings should be correct. The upload still does not happens and I have never seen the button YES appearing on my iPronto. Any advice or suggestion?

Alain,

Could you describe exactly the steps you have been taken to start the download?
Important: Your iPronto must be on (not in sleeping-mode) to receive the download.

Also, check if the connection-icon on your iPronto is present at the time you start the download. Your device could be out of reach at that time.

Kees.

Kees,
First steps: iPronto is on vrey close to the network router (1 meter) with the tansmission icon displayed.
Ialso checked the signal strengh in the setup, it'about 95%.
Then I open a file I want to download in IPronto edit.
Next step i click the download icon.
Then it seems to search for iPronto's and stops after a while whith no iPronto found, asking for the IP address (target iPronto). It starts downloading and after a few minutes displays: Editor time out, waiting for communication. The YES button never appeares on the iPronto touchscreen during the process.
Aside I checked that the upgrade was made and itis ok at this point.
Alain.

Hi,
Can you please specify a bit more how your PC is connected to the router the i-Pronto is connected to?
They need to be on the same network to communicate to each other.

Alain,

I assume you use a Fixed IP address.

1)
What IP address are you using in your iPronto?
(Press and hold the scroll wheel for 5 seconds.
The page turns to its flipside > then press Network tab > look at IP address).

2)
What IP address do you type in the field "Target iPronto" (popup window: Looking for iProntos)?
This address must be the same as the IP address in your iPronto to perform a succesfull connection.

Hi, Kees, Lukske

I checked this side of the problem with no success.I guess the problem comes from my network configuration.
All ideas are welcome at this point.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Alain,

I assume your PC is connected directly to the same router as the i-pronto? If yes, is internet from the PC working well? If no, can you please explain how it is set-up?
Further please check if you have a software-firewall (like Zone Alarm) installed on your PC. Such a program can also be the cause of such problem.

Regards,
Luuk.
