I've just received my iPronto second-hand and the button configuration is way off (about 2cm down from where it should be)

I'm trying to use the calibration setting and keep getting a message that it's failed : (

Is there a way to completely wipe the iPronto back to factory settings or could this be a more fundamental problem with the screen ?

Great forum btw

I also had this problem, when I first started my new iPronto. At first, you can try the calibration as many times as you like.

During calibration, you have to be very exact when touching the screen with the stick. This should do.

Doh !

Don't I feel stupid - worked first time :)

Right, up and running - s'pose most of the hard work has been done for me already - wireless router is in the post (wanted to be exactly sure what I needed first)

For now I'm going to be happy just programming everything in and maybe creating a DVD list for my Sony changer - s'pose I want to add X10 (or similar) to control lighting etc - what's the best site to use and what do I need to get it all connected ?

Do you have to subscribe to a site which will enable home-control ?

(Just have the iPronto, and a home pc at the moment)

If you run HomeSeer on your home PC then it can generate a web based front end to your home automation setup - the iPronto can then be pointed at that web based front end via one of its browsers if you wish. (I don't use HomeSeer but I have used the iPronto at a friends place and he does use it and it worked fine.)

Alternatively you can define normal buttons on the remote control screens as you would for any other device command and have the iPronto send out the X10 IR commands to be picked up by an IR->X10 converter such as an IR7243.

I use a combination of both an IR7243 for direct control of some items (local lighting) and the web interface of HomeVision.
