After being frustrated by alot of things in iProntoEdit, I decided this week to start going the way of programming the iPronto myself through XML generated from some Perl code I'm writing. So far things seem pretty good, I've tried some simple things and been able to show from a proof of concept that this works, and I like it. (but then, I'm more of a programmer than an artist, so that probably explains why I like this approach)
So, has anyone documented the XML used by Phillips for the iPronto (for things like the "type" fields, what the valid types are and what they mean, etc), or done something like written a parser to do simple syntax checking, etc?
Also, does anyone have source code for an IR database "cleaner"? I've seen a few apps posted which do this, but I'd like to do some batch cleaning of stuff, and if its a simple task or source code is available, it would be nice to incorporate this into my code as well.
