Linksys WAP here as well. I used a passphrase - bit easier than hex.

FYI, I posted the original message in this string....As an experiment, I just finished dragging my old pc out of the closet, fired it up and connected it to my network....it uses windows 98, not XP..... I downloaded iprontoedit software, transferred my saved configuration over from my XP machine to my '98 machine....and bingo.....it finds my ipronto first time, everytime. So while it's ridiculous to have two pc's sitting on my desk, at least I can work on the configuration and upload and download successfully. It HAS to be a windows XP thing......because I'm using the same network as before.

Perhaps XP's default firewall is causing issues? I have mine disabled, since I use a hardware firewall, and everything works fine.
