I'm just learning to program the 6400 having worked with the 3000 and 2000. I'm having a problem with buttons that should repeat. On my TV the vol up works fine but the vol down requires that I sit and hit the button many times to get a little change. My preamp requires multiple button presses to provide any real change. Both were were programed from the actual remote.

Also

I have one device that works under IR control from the 2000. Although the 3000 will learn the comands, It will not control the device. I have tried doing a copy/paste from the 2000 editer and that doesn't work.

Could it be an out-of-range question? Did you test the IR performance directly in front of the receiver? Maybe dirt is the problem and a little cleaning of the IR-receiver will help (you never know...)

Thanks Kees,

Both of the device remotes work near the devices and from a distance.

The 6400 does not work from either place.

Re the repeating problem, try learning the codes again - hold them down until the iPronto finishes learning (if you just press the button, the remote captures a code that's just a single press and won't repeat).

Thanks for the hint,

I tried rereading the repeating buttons as per your suggestion. One worked and the other still required multiple presses. Upon looking at the codes in the editor I found that the failing one had a .1 sec delay before it while the working one was undelayed. Removing the delays made all of the buttons work correctly.

I still am unable to get the Mp3 codes to work at all.
