As Philips are reading this forum I thought I'd start a thread with 'our' wants for the next point upgrade of iProntoEdit.

Here's 10 to start with...and these are off the top of my head....

i) Lasso select, being able to lasso buttons rather than ctrl-left click.

ii) Speed increase when accessing Gallery's.

iii) Stability - Having a recovery option in iProntoedit is all well and good but it would be nice if it didn't select an cfg version that was older than my last (frequent) save!

iv) Common Properties selection for multiple selected items.

v) Different font sizes on the same button and being able to centre of left justify etc the text.

vi) A decent library of buttons WITH clear/transparent backgrounds. The developers must have loads of these kicking about that could be made available.

vii) A choice of skins or differnt style sheets to get you started with designs. Again the developers must have loads of these kicking about that could be made available.

viii) A decent manual in PDF format that can be printed out and referenced if required.

ix) A better library of remote control codes.

x) A way of laying out a grid (of selected size) and then using a snap to grid function, or being able to select multiple buttons and 'allign centre' etc.

"... or being able to select multiple buttons ..."

Is already possible: Hold the "CTRL" key down while leftclicking on buttons.

regards,
Kees

He already pointed that out in i) above. I think what he is after in point x} is to be able to justify the icons once they are selected.

The ProntoPro already has text justification so I would guess it will be added to the iPronto
...

OK, as the iPronto is web based (XML?) how about being able to use iProntoEdit to add animated gifs or animated bmps to configurations and being able to add mp3's or sampled sounds to actions etc....

It would be quite nice to have a visible signal(a green "dot" someplace on the EPG guide screen) that indicates the last scheduled EPG download was successful without having to click/hold the lower right corner on the EPG guide screen, check the setup screen, then click/hold the lower left corner to get back to the EPG guide screen. I've had it happen that the unit wasn't getting EPG downloads over several days and finally one day I went to check programming only to find the unit had been offline for the recent several days.

ChrisA,
You can program the hard buttons. Look under Home->Home Properties in ProntoEdit

to point x), there is a grid under the view menu, and a snap-to function under the layout menu. Under tools=>options you should have your grid and border settings.
