After reading all of the negative posts(and 3 good ones) I went out on a limb and bought one. I received it Friday and am absolutely thrilled. I got the EPG to work in 5 minutes, am building my own ICFs, browsing the web, and couldn't have gone smoother. The only thing that would make me happier is if there was integration with my home automation controler, HAI's OmniProII.

So, it looks as if the last two firmware upgrades have taken care of the problems that existed in the emails prior to january, either that or I am lucky.

Any other recently satisfied people?

Count me in. Had mine about 10 days now and just love it. Absolutely no problems at all, and I mean none. EPG working in UK just fine. Web browsing spot on. ICF creation great fun working with the bigger screen area.

Only downside I can think of is how long it will likely take for me to get an icf I am totally happy with :) The larger screen gives more possibilities and therefore greater choise for layouts etc which only makes things harder. A problem I can live with though. I now wanna make a fully transparent icf a bit like some of the Crestron ones (like in link below). That's my goal now.

Hats off to Philips for taking such a gamble on this product. Keep up the good work guys.

Kees,

Could you share your graphics with us. There does not seem to be a nice simple way to pull them out of the ipronto editor (like save bitmap)

Thanks

The screen shot looks great.

I can't seem to find out ow to create transparent buttons for my ipronto. I'm a PS7 user (mainly for photos). Any help would be appreciated. More rather than less detail.

René,

In PS it's easy to make an transparent button.
I use PS (Dutch version and Language), so I try to translate the tool you have to use. I think it's called in English: Background-rubber or something like that? It's in your standard Toolbox.
Hope this helps.

regards,
Kees

Use the Set Palette Transparency in Image Options. Choose the colour to be transparent then select View Palette Transparency. Save using a format that supports transparency (GIF, PNG) and that's it.

René,
Both methodes (Wattsn's and mine)work fine. Wattsn's methode is the one to make one single (background)color transparent, mine is usefull and powerfull when you partially want to make your full color pictures/graphics transparent.
Have you tried it already?

regards,
Kees
