I'm considering buying this unit. One of my needs is to access MP3 on a music server and be able to view and select songs via the touch screen. Has anybody done this, if so how is this connected and how functional is the software in this area? It would be great if you could simply access something like MS media Player. How does it connect to your audio system to play the music? I didn't see anything one their website for this.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Watch the analog sound output. If you have digital receiver you'll be happy. Personally I think it's 10 bit DA is nasty sounding. Just a tad better than FM.

I concur with Ted G. above, Audiotron (Turtlebeach) is my favorite piece of the iPronto puzzle. I have 5000 songs on my PC that I can access and control from the iPronto's browser access. check it out. (the audiotron is cheap, in my mind, and using the digital out to my system produces totally acceptable sound.)

I agree it's digital output sound is great, I had one. My point was the internal DA is yuchy, using digital they sound great, because your recievers higher quality decoder is doing the conversion.

Does the iPronto browser play media (audio - MP3, MIDI, WAV) files in the same way it may play midi attached to a webpage?

Is the Audiotron an internet radio RF broadcast unit on encoded 802.11 frequency or can anyone tune into it?

Is this the most reliable and effective MP3 iPronto listening solution?

Is there any other way to play MP3s?

Is it possible to use this or a similar device to broadcast video?

Thanks.
