Just ordered a IPronto and I didnt even think to find out if the large base of ccf files will work? If not can they be converted?? It would stink to have to re-do such a large base like the files on remote-central!

The short answer is no you can't import a .ccf file. The file type for use with the iPronto is a .icf. You will have to build the visual look of the file from scratch or modify the factory one. You can use the library of IR codes that exists on remote central by using the cut and paste feature.

Frankly due to the screen size and the color capability of the iPronto it wouldn't make much sense to utilize an existing ccf file anyway.

Zephyr,

Thx for the reply.

Just so I understand (as I dont have any pronto's now), will I be able to use the huge lib. of CCF files (or extract the data from them in a cut and paste) on the IPronto?

I just want to be able to take advatage of all the IR codes that are alredy out there. I understand it wont import them directly, but I dont want to wait years for a IPronto code library...

Thx!

jamsys,

You will be able to open a .ccf in pronto edit or Touch screen setup and copy a IR string such as....

0000 0067 0044 0000 0155 00ac 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0405 0155 00ac 0015 0040 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0016 0015 00ac

to a button in iPronto edit.

This takes care of the command but not the graphics the button itself would have already been placed where you want it in ipronto edit.

Now I'm not going to lie to you this will be time consuming but you CAN get IR commands from a .ccf to a .icf
