Went to the Philips site and noticed new software:

iPronto Edit 2.1 and iPronto firmware 1.4.5

Looks like they have addressed quite some issues discussed here on the forum and have added the NetX which allows you to control IR bases devices out of line of site. This looks quite cool because it sends the protocol over 802.11b and then blasts ir. Might be interesting aside from iPronto for a HTPC

Yeah, I went to the Philips site and found it harder than heck to figure out where they hid the info on the iPronto. Then I found the ADVERTISING info on the iPronto, and even the owner's manual (which, in the great tradition of all previous Pronto manuals, is almost useless).

If you show me yours, I'll show you mine: please tell me the actual URL of the site you went to, and then I'll tell you where I went... I actually was able to find the iProntoEdit 2.1, but only here on remotecentral, and the firmware update is not here. Where did you find it?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The firmware is done only while on the remote. There's nothing you can download.
