I'm currently on-the-fence about buying one of these things. And seeing 'ReplayTV' in a list of 'known' devices on their website would push me over the edge.

Be it pre-programmed, or a user uploaded activity. Knowing that someone did the leg work to get all of that ReplayTV goodness into the Harmony (quick skips, instant replays, return to live etc..) would put me more at ease. I have 4 month old twins, and spending hours in front of the computer 'tweaking' just isn't an option anymore. (I actually cancelled my cable access, and stopped playing UT altogether GASP!)

So how about it. Anybody using the Harmony with a ReplayTV. You likey?

Kind Regards,
Slack

Be patient with the company - they only introduced this product a few months ago and they are somewhat overwhelmed right now. I wouldn't classify it as "arrogance". They should be applauded for their ability to handle the adversity of problems with a start-up product AND still manage to make it better in such a short time.

Slack,

Mind if I change the subject? I use both cable and HD satellite. Most of the satellite programming is standard resolution 4:3, but some programs are broadcast in HD 16:9. Can you suggest how to incorporate ReplayTV into this configuration? (Over the last two months, I have finally produced a simple, beautiful, and stable ProntoPro CCF.)

Slack,

Here are the Replay units in Harmony's list of "known" devices:

ReplayTV 2000 (PVR)
ReplayTV 4000 (PVR)
ReplayTV PV-HS2000 (PVR)
ReplayTV Replay 4080 (PVR)
ReplayTV RTV-3030 (PVR)
ReplayTV RTV-3060 (PVR)

You can always learn from your original remote and modify the listings as you'd like them as well. I do have to say that the Harmony is a little more of a chore to use with a PVR due to the lack of buttons, and does require some computer time to get it properly set up.

Bruce-

You can use the Replay with both your cable and satellite. You won't be able to do anything with the HD channels, but that's a different output from your satellite box anyway.
