Can 665 and/or 950 deal with external HDMI & Toslink switches in powerup activity macros?

Will a Harmony 665 and/or 950 ALLOW me to manually define a startup macro, like:

Send TV:discrete-on
Send AVR:discrete-on
Send HDMI switch: 3
Send Toslink switch: 2

... or is it limited to ONLY being able to choose an input on the TV or AVR, and won't allow you to set up explicit macros like this?

---

Why: I have an older TV and AVR whose input options are both completely inadequate for what I need to do. The TV has a Toslink output, but insists upon downmixing DD & DTS 5.1 from HDMI to 2.0 stereo. The AVR doesn't have HDMI switching (let alone HDMI audio) capabilities at all.

I neatly solved the problem with two $15 Portta switch boxes from Amazon... one that switches 5 HDMI inputs, and one that switches 4 Toslink inputs. Both switchers have their own remotes. The TV stays on HDMI1, the AVR stays on Toslink1, and I use the two switches to choose the correct input source.
