Many of the URC Orion's button have stopped working so I bought a Harmony Elite, and I am trying to learn it. It does not seem to have many of the discretes I used on my previous remote. I see referenced a Harmony database, but when I go to their web site, I can't find anything about discrete codes. I have a Yamaha Adventage RX-A2000 and use discretes for HDMI output and Party on off mode. Is there a way to use them with the Harmony? My Orion is set up to only send RF and the serial cable is no longer recognized my the Orion so I can't change it. I tried sending a training code via an IR blaster attached to the hub of the Orion, but the Elite wouldn't accept it.

Find those commands in the document below and email to [email protected], and they will add them to your account.

Thanks, do I send the entire zip, or copy just pieces of it to send? Also, there does not seem to be much activity on this forum about the elite or Harmony in general. Just wondering why?

I think a reasonable thing to do would be to send the xls file from the ircode folder with the commands you want highlighted. I've sent excel files in the past, and that seemed to work well for them. I'm not really a Harmony user, so that datasupport email is my only way to contact them besides their own forum.

There are big, active threads at AVSForum, and of course in Logitech's own forum. Sorry to say remotecentral is kind of dead except for a few integrators, hardcore remote geeks and occasional newb. But I think this is still the best site for really technical subjects.

Thanks, I haven't used the forum since I got my MX-850 working so well, but now I need to learn a new remote programming. Off to AVS and Logitech!
