Ok. So here's my dilemma. Just got Fibe TV, and have been using a URC MX-500 for the past 12 years. This thing has served me VERY well, and has been able to learn every key stroke i send its way. Except now..... Seems the new Fibe boxes from Bell have some weird remote that doesn't want to be learnt by my MX-500. My other problem is that when i use my IR extender, it works great with the MX-500 for all my other devices, but even with the Bell Fibe remote, i need to be really close to the IR extender receiver, and that won't work with my setup.

I am hoping that a Harmony remote will solve both problems.

1. I am hoping that it can learn the new Fibe remote, or at least have codes in their DB to program it.
2. I am also hoping that it has a powerful enough IR signal that i don't have to be so close to my IR receiver for it to work.

Can anyone help out with 1, or both of these questions? And if the Harmony will do this, which ones would work best for me.

TIA,
