I have a Toshiba 61H95 TV that scrolls through the input select (hit "TV/Video" to get to Video1, hit it again to get to Video2, etc). On my HTM MX-1000 I could address this by making a macro that was a TV channel up command to force the unit to TV mode (first item on the input list) and then a number of "TV/Video" commands, depending on what I needed. How do I do this on the Harmony Remote? I could not find an existing set up for my TV, so I picked one that was close, but this is the one thing that is not working.

Thanks for your help!

I thought that's how my toshiba worked until I saw my wife push tv/video and then 4 for the DVD/colorstream. Do the video selections have numbers next to them. If so you can operate them like this.

Hammy,

Thanks for the reply. I tried your method, but it did not work on my TV.

I did however send a message to the customer service folks at Harmony late Sunday, and got a response Monday afternoon. Turns out there is no macro needed. Just had to go to "Characterize this device" and tell the program (web site) which inputs the TV has, and what button is used to cycle through them. That's it! I reloaded the remote and it worked like a charm! Once you adjust (and simplify) your thinking, this little remote is very easy to use.

Thanks to the customer service team at Harmony for truly providing SERVICE!

I have a Toshiba CN36H97 and have a similar problem. But I did do the characterization and it still has problems jumping past video 1 to video 2 or to colorstream. I suspect that it needs a delay between input selects. Does anyone know how to insert delays between input selects?

Andy,

I changed the speed setting for the TV to get the delay right. That changes the delay for all commands for the TV, but in my case the only TV commands I use are the input selects (sound and channels are controlled by the amplifier and cable box), so it does not matter.

Hope this helps.
