Yamaha rxv8000, Harmony 1.


I am trying to set up custom buttons (screen buttons) that will allow me to toggle Theater 1 (SiFi/Spectacular) and to toggle Theater 2 (General/Adventure). The problem is that only the Theater 1 (SiFi/Spectacular) will toggle between the two. When touching Theater 2, nothing happens, I can't get General or Adventure to appear on the Yammy. Interestingly, other sound effects custom buttons work (e.g., Effects, TV Sports, etc). And now I notice this strange happening: The Theater 1 doesn't work, but the Theater 2 button will toggle between the Theater 1 sounds???

Don't know if this helps, but the H1 is several years old, has hardly been used, but has always been in the charging cradle. I do have anew battery, but as things seem to be working fine, other than the present problem, I haven't changed batteries. How do you know when the battery needs changing?

EDIT:
For whatever reason(s), Theater2 will not toggle (or do anything) when either used in customized buttons on the touch screen, nor when I made it a numbered button. But as I learned, when in Device/AVR, buttons numbered 7 and 8 already are preprogrammed for Theaters 1 & 2. So, all that I did was to move them up to hard button positions 1 and 2. Nonetheless, still no idea why my previous attempts to get Theater2 to work failed.


EDIT-EDIT:
Been fooling around some more and found my mistake. Theater 2 should have been preset #9 and not #7, and preset #8 is Spectacle/SiFi, Theater 1. Nonetheless, if I were to enter DspTheater 2 instead of its preset number (#9) into custom buttons, it still wouldn't toggle???
