I am just about to throw this Harmony 700 out the window. Hope someone has some advice.

I programmed seven devices and three activities. All works well except the Smarthome 2411R IR link to turn the lights on and off.

I have added the 2411R device, it appears under devices on the remote and works fine. The problem is when I try to assign a function on the 2411R to a button or on a screen under an activity, it appears on the computer but when it is synced it does not show up on the 700 screen and the buttons that were programmed with a function from the 2411 don't work.

I returned one and exchanged it for another. The new one has the same issue. Tech support could only offer the advice to reset the remote (remove battery hold all off button) and reprogram. When that failed they said return it to the store for a new one.

The bad part is that I was able to assign the lights on/off and fan on/off to the screen and buttons under the watch tv activity but not other activities. After resetting the remote I cannot add it under ANY activity now. Intermittent problems suck!

Anyone had any previous experience with this issue?
Should I return this thing once more and get my money back and buy something different?

Be sure that if you are adding commands that they are added in your Activity, because if you only added then in Devices, they are not carried over to your Activities, these are two separate programming areas

Thanks rehaz1. Yeah, I know, I did add the function under the activity. But doesn't work! Quite frustrating. Strange that when I select the device on the 700 it works as it should but cannot add any function to a button or screen under the activity i.e. "watch TV".

Finally, after numerous calls to tech support I got a guy who understood the problem! Spent almost two hours on the phone and the good news is that I am not doing anything wrong. The bad news is that tech support admits they have a problem and will have to have their engineering dept resolve it! Like to hear if anyone else has issues with Harmony 700 and Smarhome IR Link 2411R. I will let everyone know what, if any, solution they have.
