Hi,

I have 2 x SKY HD boxes in a cabinet that i need to control independently if possible.

Demopad is one option but can't get my head around using the software.

Do i have any options to do this? I want to control 4 sources in the cabinet: 2 x SKY, 1 x WDTV and 1 x Blu Ray.

Will a Harmony Hub work in the following way:

The 2 x IR emitters included in the pack positioned 1 each in front of each SKY box then use the hub as intended to control the other 2 sources?? If i made sure that both the physical emitters were not in sight of each other so could not control both Sky boxes at the same time?? Then use Harmony remotes around the house via wifi to the hub??

If that wouldn't work then any other options??

Thanks

I don't know if the IR ports on the Harmony hub are addressable but if they are then your idea should work, provide there is no IR optical path from one Sky box to the other.

A more complex solution would be to use the SPC4 product

But it would require a single IR emitter on a TVLink external IR receiver to control both Sky boxes and you would need to learn the new IR codes used by the SPC4.

The use of an IR emitter for a Sky box can be avoided with a wired IR input device such the as the KWE [Link: keene.co.uk]
