Here's one for the pros out there. I re-configured my Harmony One for my new AVR (Pioneer Elite VSX-70) & a recently purchased Samsung LED HDTV to replace my last years model. I'm sure however this is related to the AVR. The set-up of the Harmony was easy; actually it was the same set of activities as my previous set-up except changing make & models of the devices.
Here's the issue though; when I power on the Harmony & it turns on my display & my SAT HD STB, the front read-out of the Pioneer says "Stereo." Now as soon as I change to any other SAT channel, the display changes to Dolby Digital just as it should with SAT viewing. Although that, in its self, is a simple fix, I'd still like to get the set-up right & when the Pioneer comes on & have it read the correct audio w/o the channel change.
I just know when I read the fix, I'll kick myself because it was so easy. :-)
Anyone with any suggestions?

How do you have these devices connected? I assume you are using HMDI connections through the AVR.

So, is the "channel" that first comes on a "stereo" channel? The Pioneer should "remember" what the last "non-dolby" setting was, until it detects a Dolby signal.

I have each device connected into the Pioneer via HDMI cables & then (1) HDMI cable out of the Pioneer into my display. And no, the 1st channel that comes up when it's first turned on is not a "stereo" channel, it's a DD 5.1 channel. Like I said, when it comes on initially, regardless of what channel the SAT was on when it was turned off, it will display "Stereo." Then I just change the channel up & then back down to show the true audio decoding, which would be Dolby Digital. It's an obvious glitch; I just need some advice on how to program the Harmony to correct it.

Try putting the VSX_70 in Standard mode rather than Auto Surround. Once you set it you should never have to change it so no macro is necessary.
