Ok, here's good one for the pros. I just purchased & set up a new Samsung TV. I had one previously so I didn't think this would be an issue. This is very hard to explain, but I'll try. The new TV is a model UN65F7100. When you turn it on via its own remote, it starts up with a small screen that shows the current channel you were watching up in the left-hand corner & then several other icons that say various things filling up the screen; things like "most watched", guide, etc. So when I programmed the Harmony One, when using it to turn on everything, the same thing comes up on the TV's start screen. Then to get to regular viewing, I have to use the new TV's remote & arrow over to the small screen showing the programming & press enter.
Does anyone know anyway to disable this particular start screen. I guess the Harmony's doing it's job because it's the same start screen as using the TV's remote. Would this be a Samsung issue in providing some way to bypass this screen?

That would indead be a Samsung issue, as your Harmouny remote is only doing what your original remote does.  You would hve to check in Samsung's menu to see if this feature can be turned off.

Ok, I called Samsung & they walked me through on how to turn off that intro screen I was referring to above. It's a part of their Smart Features, which we disabled. Now (using the TV's remote) the TV (when turned on) goes right to the channel we were on when it was turned off. When I called Logitech, their tech support told me to use the TV's model # when setting up the device & activity,,,not to do it the learning way. So now, when I turn the TV on using the Harmony, in the background is the channel we were watching when it was turned off, but in the middle of the screen, there is a message inside a rectangle that says "Check the device is connected properly, then try turning on the device by selecting the device below." Then below, inside a small square are the words "STB". And then below that, another small square that says "OK." I just noticed though that it will automatically disappear after about 10 seconds or you can just select "ok" with the TV's remote to remove it. (Obviously STB is referring to my SAT box & it's definitely connected properly or I wouldn't be getting a picture). Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ken

Found the fix over in the AVS forum in the Samsung thread for my TV. Turns out, it was definitely TV related in the settings. It had to to do with the universal remote section & required disabling that function.
