Hi - I have a Harmony Link and am trying to install it in an equipment cabinet. I have lost the original IR blasters that came with it, but have several third party IR blasters from other devices. They required 2.5mm to 3.5mm phone plug adapters, but I got those and that shouldn't make a difference, right? But so far, none of them seem to work with the Harmony Link. Has anyone had any success with IR blasters other than the ones that came with the device? I will buy original replacements if I need to but would rather use what I already have.

Hi Greg
While we're unable to tell you specifically which blasters work and which may not, users have generally reported success with third party blasters and 2.5 to 3.5mm adapters, yes.
You may want to use the camera trick to make sure your blasters are in fact firing - firing IR while viewing your blasters through a cell phone or digital camera will allow you to see the little white flashes of IR being fired.
This may help you better understand of it's really the blasters that aren't working or if they may need to be repositioned to better reach your device(s).
Regards,
-Sylvain
