I don't see that Cox has this on this cable box. Is there a work around?

I've read about some work arounds for boxes not having this.



So here is my idea??????

Can a LONG PRESS also have a sequence and a step added to it?

For instance, if I can time it right I want to do or try this for commercial skip.

Press and hold the >> button to get it in to the long press feature. Have a step added to it so it presses the >> again to get it in 4x FF mode on the DVR. Time it right so that at about 2 minutes (which is about 15 seconds in 4x mode) and then add a step to press PLAY.

But my main question is "Can a long press of the >> button activate a sequence and a step?"

This can be done in your MyHarmony account by using Sequences.

Customize the remote buttons for your Activity and create a Sequence that would send: Fast Forward, a 15 second pause, and Play.

In the Customize Buttons screen, select the >> button on your remote, hover your cursor over your Sequence and assign it to a long press - you should be all set!
