I'm considering upgrading from my old Harmony 680 to the Harmony Smart Control with smartphone app. I'm a little concerned about the functionality of the physical remote that comes with it since the wife and kids will use that more than the smartphone interface. The physical remote looks functional enough but I'm a little concerned about the activity buttons. It looks like there are three but I don't see any mechanism for having more than that. We currently have 5 different activities that are frequently used. Is there some way to select the additional two activities using the physical remote?

There are 3 Activity buttons, but each button can start 2 Activities, a short press will start one Activity, and a long press will start another activity.  I might add that all of the control is done through the Hub, the remote sends no IR, it only sends RF to the Hub, which in turn sends IR to the devices.  So if your TV is located in one place and the other devices are in another location, the Hub can control those device, unless you use the Mini Blaster that comes with the Hub, to control the TV, you will not be able to control the TV via IR from the remote.
