I just received my Harmony Ultimate yesterday. I had to put my trusty MX-850 in a drawer. Over the weekend I bought the new Samsung UN65F8000 and except for the power button, all the UN65F8000 remote controls are RF.

I was able to set up my 4 devices and a couple of activities for "Watch HDTV" and "Play DVD". When I use "Watch HDTV" it brings every thing up just fine and leaves the remote on DVR controls.

What I also want to do is be able to use the Samsung Smart Hub and navigate through it using the Ultimate's touchscreen and hard buttons.

Here is what I would like to do:

From "Watch HDTV" - Configure a touchscreen button to switch the remote to "3D HDTV" device without changing:

a) Current power state of any device
b) Any current device inputs

I also want to configure a touchscreen button to switch back to "Watch HDTV"

Is this doable on the Harmony?

Edit 6/20/13: The problem in a nutshell is that when you create an activity you must select a device and the device must have a power sequence which turns off the TV.  I just want the remote to switch from DVR controls to TV controls and back again when I'm ready..

Thank you,
Mike

I was able to get it sorted out. I now have everything configured to my liking. The more I use this remote the more I like it.

Hi Mike,

I have the same TV and am trying to control it with my Crestron unit. Do you know where the IR bug needs to be placed? Can the TV be controlled over IP instead?
