ccclapp,

Did you ever accomplish the splitting of your signal using a Xantech? IF so, could you provide the pin out?

Thanks!

I just got one of these and interfaced it with my existing Xantech system without any issues at all. I took the IR output from the Harmony Hub, cut up an existing audio cable I had with that connector, attached the ground (shielding) to the ground input and the other wire to the IR in. I didn't test the wires, but I would assume the tip was the IR in and the ground was the ring. If it's wrong, it shouldn't be doing any long term damage - it just won't work at all. Reverse them and you'll be fine.

I've had the Ultimate Home control for 2 weeks now, and I have 2 questions/feedback:

- I would like to remove the Favorites page entirely. It is not needed, as I like to manage the favorites from within my cable provider interface. It seems it should be an easy thing to remove this second page from the remote's starting screen. As it is, it represents one more page for my household to stumble onto - I need to keep things very tidy on this remote. And yes, I realize that means pressing the 'STAR' on the remote would not go anywhere... Any ideas?

- Setting up a simple Activity for my light does not work well for me. As with any activity, it forces a "ON" command (not optional, not removable), which I find disruptive for lighting - sometimes all you want is to slightly increase the lights, not turn them all full on and break the mood. I'd like to get to a Lights page that would not force a 'Full ON'... I have not figured how to do that. As an alternative, for the moment I do not have a LIGHTS activity, just a lights Device. Any ideas?

Otherwise, love the remote so far. It controls the DVR, AVR and BD in the close cabinet, and the projector.

The Favorites page is not removal, for your lighting, in the devices page change to power settings to My device has no power button, then the lights will not power on when you start an activity that includs your lighing device, you can manullay power it on in your activity by assigning the power command(s) to the LCD screen.

Thanks Rehaz, it works. I set the "LIGHTS" device to be "always on" so that way the remote does not send the ON or OFF signal ever, and I can control it myself.

A bummer for the Favorites page that cannot be removed - it should be a simple thing for them to allow that in a software update.
