I'm having an issue where my remote (Harmony 700) is not switching source inputs properly.

I have a Philips TV where you have to hit a source button to bring up an onscreen display, then use directional buttons to move up and down to the source you want and then hit OK to select the source.

I have a DVD hooked up to HDMI2, DirecTV hooked up to HDMI1 and a media center PC hooked up to the VGA input.

The issue occurs when I switch to the DVD. It always switches it to the component source input. I have double checked the config and is shows the DVD set to HDMI2 source and has all the source inputs in the right order etc. But it always goes to the component input. The funny thing is when I switch from that to any other device, it switches as if it was on the correct HDMI2 input. So it knows the DVD is on HDMI2 when it leaves that activity to go to another one.

I originally thought it was just a bug in the config as I had it configured with an older Harmony remote and it did the same thing. When I moved to the new 700, I installed it as a brand new remote hoping to ditch this bug. But it didn't.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Joshua

If you use the Help button, does if fix the problem?  If it does then it is is a timing problem, and you need to increase the Power On delay for the TV.

Also, if the Help button fixes the problem and the problem also occurs when switching from another activity, then try increasing the TV Inter-Device delay.
Note: You may need to increase both the Inter-Device and Inter-Key delays to the same value in case the "criss-crossed" and/or "added together" bug(s) is/are still present.
