I'm contemplating purchasing a used Harmony 900 from a friend. Haven't seen it as yet but it comes with cables and charger, actually with everything but the IR Blasters. He wants $120. Will the 900 work without the Blasters? I only need it for one room and dont require RF capabilities. Thanks for any advice.
I returned the 650.

It will work without the Blasters, but you may be asked to Update the Blaster after your setup is completed even though you have not assigned any devices to a blaster

I have never used my blaster. It's just for controlling hidden or cabinet bound devices. It asks me to update the blaster anytime I take out the battery and put it back in. I just dismiss.

Thanks decided against purchasing. Without the RF Blasters, which I don't need, its the same price as the Harmony One (Brand New), on sale, at Vancouver Costco. Plus I get a 3 month return policy.
