Hello, I've searched and can't seem to find my issue discussed. Maybe I'm missing something simple.

I've just set up a 659 and the display window has 3 buttons on each side for a total of six buttons. The set up software shows these programmable buttons in groups of 6 and allows you to program any function on each of the six buttons.

My problem is when using the remote the first line of the display is taken up by what activity you are in or what device you have selected to control. The top two soft buttons then become unusable.

When looking that the display the first line says something like 'watch TV' and the top two buttons are useless. The remaining buttons are 'pushed down' (i.e. what showed as assigned to buttons 1 and 2 in the setup software is now assigned to 3 and 4 and what was assigned to 5 and 6 are on the next page.

Am I missing something? Can I set it to not display the activity or device and gain functionality of all 6 soft buttons on each page?

Thanks.

Zoot.

Yes, by changing the "Menu Format" to 6 buttons (instead of4). The option is under "Remote Settings (tab at top) > Display Settings".
