Hi - just acquired the Harmony 650 and have the following devices:

1) Yamaha Home Theatre AMP

2) LG TV

3) Telus Cisco CIS330 PVR

3) Xbox 360

4) Panasonic DVD player

Due to the limitations of the Yamaha amp, I needed some odd cable configuartions to make sure that watching TV and playing Xbox were HDMI and 5.1 sound. So the activities are:

1) Watching T.V.= LG TV on HDMI 1, Yamaha Amp on DTV/CBL, CISCO PVR = ON <-- this all works fine

2) Playing Xbox = LG TV on HDMI 1, Yamaha Amp on "DVD" and also "CD" (for 5.1 sound - Xbox has only opitcal out so I needed the Amp's only optical in which was "CD"), Xbox On <-- need to find a way to get both inputs for Yamaha sent by the remote.

3) Watch a Movie = LG TV on "Component 1", Panasonic DVD Player = ON, Yamaha Amp on "DVD" (Amp has "DVD" Coax in and Panasonic only has Coax out for 5.1) audio <-- have to normally press "Help" to get the right input on the TV.

So ... the issues are that: a) I need two inputs to work on the Yamaha Amp for Xbox activity, and b) I'd like the TV to switch to Component 1 input without pressing "help" in "Watch a Movie" Activity.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

It is not possible for the Harmony remote to enable two inputs at the same time on the same device

You could use the Activity Start/Exit macros (sequence of commands) feature to add the additional input commands and restore them (if needed) on exit. Review the settings for the Activity (under Activity > Settings), and select "Yes, but I want to add more control of options and devices for this Activity". It will go through the setup again, just click next/save a few times until you get to the custom actions configuration page where you can add sequence(s) of command(s) to run at Activity start and/or Activity exit.

An alternate method is to add another dummy Yamaha Amp device (without power control), but configuring its additional input selector without interfering with the main input selector of the real device can become messy.
