I've searched but cannot find a thread dedicated to this specific issue.

I have a Harmony 650 and use it with 3 devices, but mainly for controlling XBMC via an IR receiver.

While using the remote with XBMC I often get double inputs when I pressing any particular button. Not always, but about once in every 10-15 button presses, which can naturally be a bit irritating. I'm quite sure this is related to the speed settings which can be adjusted using the Harmony Remote software.

The two settings available on the software (for the 650 anyway) are:

Inter-key Delay: 100 (default)
Input Delay: 1000 (default)

It *looks* as though the length of time a signal is sent for a single button press needs to be decreased, but I have no idea what to change, or what to change it to!

Can someone who is little more experienced with this type of setup advise on the optimal settings for use with XBMC?

Thanks

Try decreasing the "number of repeats" (now nameless) under Device > Troubleshoot > Device responds to some commands either too many times or only occasionally.

Thanks for the advice, I changed this setting from 3 to 1 and it seems to have fixed the issue!

I will report back if the problem reoccurs! :)

I just got started with a Harmony 650.

I noticed this discussion about setting delays, repeats amd such.

Is that available in on-line programming?

Or is there some other software I could learn about?

Thanks,
BE

The MyHarmony setup has no options for delay setting, Inter Key and Input delay.  The Power On and Inter-Device delays are done on the remote.
Download the 7.7 software, you will have to create a new account, and program the remote over from scratch though.
