I'm wanting to program what I believe is called a step.

What I want to do is have a button on my H900 screen called "My DVR" when I press that button I want it to go to my DVR screen on the Comcast box and then hit ENTER so that it automatically goes into the DVR recording section automatically.

How to?

Ideas?

If I remember correctly I recall someone saying something like I had to relearn a button but do a real quick 2 press of the buttons I want but not sure.

I believe you are looking for the Activity Sequence feature under Activity > Customize Buttons > Add Sequence. You can have up to 10 sequences in an activity, and each sequence can have up to 5 commands from any participating device. Once you have created the sequence, you name it and then you can map it to any key.

Sorry I posted for a Harmony One instead of the Harmony 900. I have both remotes and just got confused.

I changed the original post to reflect the correct harmony remote.

I thought it does not have sequences. Is this something else?

Correct, the Harmony 900 does NOT support the activity sequence feature, but the Harmony One does. You can use the Device Learn IR in RAW mode to teach a sequence of 2 commands under a single command name. Some people with nerves of steal can teach a sequence of more than 2 commands. You have to be quick and consistent. It's easier if you can squirt the sequence from another remote like your Harmony One. You could create the desired sequence mapped to an activity button on the Harmony One, then teach that sequence to the Harmony 900 using the Device Learn IR in RAW mode. Don't forget to change the default command name (MyNewCommand). Note: To enable learning in RAW mode, click "Custom" at the bottom right of the learning page (on the left of Done).

I'm going to try the Harmony One route, which I have/use also for the bedroom. I'll let ya know.

THAT DID IT!!!!

Since I have the Harmony One also and it can create sequences, I did as "jlet" mentioned and worked great.
