I have a DTV HR21-700 that works fine with my Harmony 650. I recently added a second unit (HR22-100). The 650 does not recognize the HR22-100 and does not respond to learning from the DTV remote. The HR21-700 is setup with the default DTV 00001 assignment and the HR22-100 is setup with 00003 (AV1). Both units work fine with the DTV remote. Any help would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

J~

Don't forget to set your 2nd unit to IR (infrared) mode. Here is the Harmony Information:
This DirecTV PVR / Satellite is capable of accepting RF (radio frequency) and IR (infrared) signals. To operate this device, it needs to be set to respond to an IR Remote:
1. On the original DirecTV remote press the Menu button
2. From the Menu press Select on Settings
3. Select Remote from the left menu
4. Press Select on the IR/RF Setup button
5. Use the Up or Down arrows to change from RF to IR
6. Press Select to save

Note 1: Also use the device "Confirm IR commands", as the alternate IR dataset (for address 00003) may already be in the database.

Note 2: The Harmony setup interface will probably be very busy today.

I have a Harmony 670 and a DirecTV HR24-500 DVR and a HR20-700 DVR in my livingroom now and I was wondering if there is a way to make them work independly? With the same remote. I record more than 2 channels at the same time so I got a extra box.

You can upgrade to a URC remote and base station. You can then assign the emitter outputs. This will give you totally separate control from one remote.

Fl_Gulfer, Yes if one of your 2 DVRs supports multiple IR address mode. You would set it and its original remote to the alternate IR address mode, then using the Harmony software, you would do a device "Confirm IR commands". The Harmony software will ask you to send a few commands from the original remote. If the alternate commands dataset is already in the database, then your are good to go. Else, it will ask you to teach it the alternate dataset (using the original remote).

Note: At this time of year, the Harmony software interface is experiencing a high volume of traffic. You should wait after the new year.
