Hi All,
I currently have a Sony BDP-CX960 400 Disc Blu-ray/DVD/CD MegaChanger and am looking for a universal remote which can handle the Sony command codes for that player. I don't want my 3D player turning on at the same time. Right now it's set on command code 2 so the 3D player will not come on but I'm getting tired of all the remotes lying around.

Thnx.

All the Harmony remote models share the same huge Database. Some devices in the Database already have an alternate dataset (for alternate command mode). You can change to the alternate dataset by using the "Confirm infrared commands" option under the Device > Settings. If the alternate dataset is not already in the database, then it will ask you to teach it the set of commands using the original remote (set in the alternate mode).

cyper, i use a harmony one and a harmony 900 with my cx960 and it works flawlessly. i use the command code 1 set for that changer so you shouldn't have a problem.

It did ask me to confirm the power key and the left key during setup so I guess it's using the right database (I haven't had time to check it yet, disabled vet and need assistance) but so far so good.

Thnx.

That's great to know. I think I'm just a bit nervous about using universal remotes. As soon as my buddy comes over I'll see how I did on the initial setup.

Since my TV and sound bar come on automatically when I turn on either bluray player should I try to modify the activity so it doesn't turn them on for me or should I not even worry about it? I'm thinking it's not worrying about.

Thnx!
