I just bought an AVL300 and it is controlling all of my components fine, but I cannot get it to control my Directv box. It is model #H23. I have tried everything and nothing will work. I was hoping someone else on here has had this issue and knows what to do or something. Please help. TIA.

Have you checked to see if the H23 is set to IR mode? If it's set to RF mode then the monster won't be able to control it. If that still doesn't work, use the "confirm IR language" option for the H23 device - that will make sure it's set to the correct IR address.

Yes, the box is set to IR mode and I don't know how to confirm the IR language. I looked around through the menu and googled that, but could not find anything

Go to the H23 device in the software (not the activity). There is an option to check or confirm the IR language. It may be in a submenu like Options.
