I have several Harmony remotes, the oldest is this 659. I added some equipment to the entertainment system it controls, so of course I wanted to update the remote. Logged in, added the activities and equipment, and went to update the remote. It just sits there, doing nothing. I double checked the connection, even disconnecting the cable from the hub and going directly into the computer. No luck. I went into the Mac System Profiler, and under USB, located the remote, so I know it's connected. I updated the Logitech software to the latest, no luck. I pulled out the batteries and put the remote into SAFE mode, still no luck.
What the heck is going on and why won't this stupid remote update???

Try it from a different computer and/or with a different cable. Just because it sees it doesn't mean it's working properly.

Every once in a while my 659 does the same thing on my Windows PC. What I do is press buttons on the remote and that seems to wake the system up so that it can sync.
