I have had a Harmony® One Advanced Universal Remote for a couple of years. I noticed the battery was no longer holding a charge very well, so I bought a replacement battery and installed it with no problems.

After being in and out of the cradle for about 60 minutes when I returned it to the cradle, I got the error message with a red exclamation point, "Charging Problem. Contact customer support".

I searched for this, but mainly came across the issue of the contacts in the charging base no longer making contact with the remote, which doesn't seem to be my problem.

I went to the Harmony site and searched the knowledge base, but could find no reference to this particular error message.

Any ideas?

Is it an original or aftermarket battery?

Only the Logitech Harmony battery can be used and charged in the Harmony remote and cradle.  After market batteries such as used in cell phones will work in the Harmony remote, but it can not be changed while in the Harmony remote.

I guess I should have mentioned this in the original post - it's an aftermarket battery. Evidently, I need to buy a battery direct from Logitech? It's too bad the site I bought it from said "compatible with Harmony Remotes"...

One more question -- can someone point me to a link where I can buy a Logitech/Harmony-blessed replacement battery? I cannot find the on Logitech's web site.... (And if they are there, and obvious, I'll feel really embarrassed...)
Thanks

Perhaps because the Logitech site has recently changed and very much for the worse?
