Made some mistakes naming/recording commands for a device.
Is it possible to delete the unwanted entries?

Yes, but you need access to the remote programming code. I can do this for you but as it is part of my business, I charge a fee for this service.

Alternately, you can remove the device; this will remove anything associated with this device. Or you can call Harmony tech support and see if they will make the changes for you (you might need to speak with level 2 support).

I suppose this is trough "Dealer Login" ?
Just out of curiosity: what can a dealer do, configuration-wise, that a normal user can't do? (Apart from managing several remotes simultaneously.)

I've had this happen to me in the past. I would say that the easiest way would be to just delete the entire device and then re-create it. Unless you have a lot of user-learned commands the whole process should only take you a few minutes.
There are only 2 types of people in the world....those I like, and those I don't. Remember, the only reason some people are alive is because it's illegal to shoot them.

Interesting. Does Logitech give you this level of access as a dealer, or were you able to somehow "hack" the code, so to speak? I'm curious as well as to what you have been able to do that a normal user cannot. Can you provide more customization than is allowed by the user software? I would imagine some issues would arise.

I did not anticipate this; in this case, it's probably best not to delete the device then.

Not sure what kind of issues you refer to, everything works great. Logitech does not give me access nor do they deny it; you can interpret that as you wish. No need to use the Harmony wizards to program the remote if you can program everything/anything by typing a few lines of code. Examples: input switching using multiple commands per input, macros (sequences) with more than five commands, change IR codes, modify learned IR codes, change Harmony 1000 "themes" (change icons for devices, activities, boot screen, sounds, help screens, etc) ... imagination is the limit.

As for Harmony Tech support I just had a related experience . Specifically, when I powered off my TV, the Harmony would send a command to the DVD player to power it on. This power-on command was not listed on my website for this remote. I called tech support and was referred to 2nd level. The rep. searched my commands and found code in my setup for a "phantom" command to power up the DVD upon powering off the TV. He deleted that phantom code/command and everything is fine. This is an example of the cooperation and expertise of these tech support folks. Perhaps they would do the same for your desire to delete learned commands.

Hey Sardo, what are you apologizing for? Don't worry about it, we're just chatting ;) Maybe the tone of my post was conveyed poorly, I just didn't follow your train of thought.

You're right; if customizations are made and you then login through the software or member's website to make changes, custom programming could potentially be compromised depending on the changes made. However, the product then has to be looked at from a different angle. Since it's being installed by an installer not customer, it should be considered an "installer/dealer programmable" remote. As a backup, we can clone a given account in case said customer decides to make their own adjustments, ruining customizations in the process.

The Harmony is a great remote for the price, but the software interface really limits what can be done with it. I wouldn't go so far as to call the Harmony a joke, but I'm in a different situation than most. Though I know a lot of pro installers may consider it as such, there's more to it than meets the eye. For the price you pay and the things it can do when you have access to behind the scenes, it is an amazing remote.
